Istanbul attraction tickets come from three separate bodies — the Ministry of Culture through DÖSİM, Millî Saraylar for the palaces, and the General Directorate of Foundations for the Basilica Cistern since June 2026 — and no pass crosses between them. Mosques charge nothing. Müzekart, at ₺100, is sold only to Türkiye citizens and is not valid at the Hagia Sophia, the Topkapı Harem or Hagia Irene even for them.

Three things: the Hagia Sophia, because the box office closes at 19:00 and the queue between 10:00 and 13:00 is real; Topkapı, because there are two separate queues inside and a fast-track ticket removes both; and Dolmabahçe, where the Selamlık admits in accompanied groups.
Everything else can be bought at the door. The mosques need nothing. The Galata Tower's queue is for the lift rather than the ticket, so booking helps less than arriving at 08:30. And the Basilica Cistern currently has no published price at all, so a listing that states its own is the safer purchase.
